Serving Suggestions for our Marinated Mushrooms
- Put them on your salad, everyone's favorite
- They make a great hors d'oeuvres
- Slice fresh tomatoes, blue cheese or fresh mozzarella cheese, blend in mushrooms using Norm's dressing or your favorite dressing
- Serve on top of your favorite steak or hamburger
- Serve on top of your favorite pizza
- Saute portabella mushrooms in olive oil and white wine, just before serving mix in marinated mushrooms
- Mix pasta with your favorite sauce and just before serving place the marinated mushrooms on top.
- Spicy Mushroom Marinate - steam in your favorite shell fish, clams, mussels, if too hot add some wine, to the pot. If that doesn't work drink the wine you won't notice the heat
- Sit down in your favorite chair, watching your favorite TV Program and pull out a jar of Marinated Mushrooms and savor the delicious blended taste all evening
Recipes
Ceaser Salad
- 1 head Romaine Lettuce
1 Large Red Pepper
1 cup of your favorite Croutons
1 Tablespoon Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup Norms Best Marinated Mushrooms
Portabella Mushroom with Blue Cheese
- 2 large portable mushrooms
2 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup white wine
1/3 cup worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/2 cup Norm's Best Marinated Mushroom
Saute portable in butter, when butter dissolves and mushroom is tender, blend in white wine, worchestershire sauce and honey. 2 minutes before serving add crumbled blue cheese and Norm's Best Marinated Mushroom on top of portabella.
Antipasto Plate
- 1 head of Romaine Lettuce
1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
1/2 cup shredded carrots
2 roasted red peppers
2 tomatoes and 1 cucumber marinated with Norms Best Marinated Mushroom Dressing for 3 hours
1/4 lb genoa salami
1/3 cup each black and green olives
2 medium fresh mozzarella cheese balls, cubed
1 can of solid white tuna or cooked chicken cubes
1/2 cup Norm's Best Marinated Mushrooms
Arrange lettuce on round plate, circle red cabbage and carrots on top of lettuce, place tuna or cooked chicken in middle of plate, arrange marinated tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted red peppers, mozzarella cheese, rolled salami and olives around plate and top off with Norms Best Marinated Mushrooms, serve with marinated dressing.
Norm's Best Basil Boats
- 8 Large Fresh Basil Leaves
1/2 cup finely chopped tomato
1/2 cup finely chopped cucumbers
3 tablespoons shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
4 teaspoons shredded Parmesan cheese
Place basil leaves on a serving plate. Combine the tomato, cucumber, and mozzarella cheese; spoon into basil leaves, Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, place one Norm's Best Marinated Mushroom with marinate mixture onto the filled basil leave.
Cheese with Marinated Mushrooms
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (not packed in water), julienned
1 cup boiling water
8 ounces Monterey Jack Cheese, cubed
1 jar Norm's Best Marinated Mushrooms
In small bowl, combine the tomatoes and water. Let stand for 5 minutes, drain. In a large resealable plastic bag combine tomatoes and cheese Norm's Best marinated mushrooms. Seal bag and toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Tomato/Basil Salad
- 3 tomatoes
generous amount of fresh basil
1/2 cup blue cheese (may substitue for any type of cheese)
Salt, Pepper
Maple Garlic Pepper
6 ounces of original or spicy hot Norms Best Marinated Mushroom
2 tablespoons of marinate dressing
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup Aged Balsamic Vinegar
Cut tomatoes, basil mix with salt, pepper, maple garlic pepper to taste, add blue cheese, marinated mushrooms, mushrooms marinate, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, mix together and serve.
